Giving Forward

At Beside Leaders, generosity is not a marketing strategy.

It is a principle.

One of the foundations of Steward Eldership is Summum Bonum —
to voluntarily serve the highest good with humility.

We believe leadership is not only measured by performance, but by contribution. Not only by growth, but by what is given back.

We choose to give generously — of time, resources and capability — to initiatives that strengthen community, restore dignity and create lasting impact.

Because leadership, at its highest expression, is stewardship. And stewardship serves beyond itself.

Our Work with Yakuway Indigenous Corporation

Over the past decade, AJ has had the honour of walking Country, sitting in circle and learning from Elders across communities throughout Australia.

Through this journey, she has come to understand more deeply the sacred connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples hold with land, responsibility and continuity.

In honour of this path, AJ became a founding Board Member of Yakuway Indigenous Corporation. Yakuway means “to take care.”

The organisation supports the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in the Lake Macquarie region of NSW — with a strong focus on Elders — creating culturally safe spaces that strengthen social, emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.

This work is not consultancy. It is stewardship.

Allyship & Cultural Responsibility

Evolve Communities

In 2025, AJ completed the Ally Accreditation Program through Evolve Communities, strengthening her capability to facilitate culturally safe, inclusive learning environments.

This work deepened her understanding of leading with empathy and awareness — and affirmed the words of Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr:

“All of us belong.”

At Beside Leaders, cultural humility is practised — not performed.

Investing in the Next Generation

Irrawang High School

For six years, Beside Leaders has delivered a three-day immersive program for Year 10 students at
Irrawang High School called World of Work.

Students build:

  • Communication confidence

  • Interview capability

  • Professional presence

  • Real-world readiness

They practice interviews, refine body language and strengthen their voice before entering employment.

A formal lunch with community leaders teaches etiquette, generosity and powerful networking skills.

This is not corporate social responsibility. It is generational stewardship.

Sustainability - Planting Trees

We believe leadership extends beyond the organisation and into the wider system it inhabits.

For every participant who journeys with Beside Leaders Global, we plant a tree — contributing to the regeneration of soil, ecosystems and future life.

Soil degradation affects over 40% of the world’s arable land.
This is not just an environmental issue — it’s a leadership one.

To date:
1,100+ trees planted
